​​As of 2014, there are over 22 million veterans in the United States. On any given night, nearly 50,000 veterans are without shelter. There are over 525,000 outstanding disability claims at the Department of Veterans Affairs.


The Center for American Homeless Veterans (Association for Homeless and Disabled Veterans) is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for those most deserving and who have the least: homeless and disabled Veterans.


Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Falls Church, VA, the Center for American Homeless Veterans tirelessly advocates for solutions to the problems faced by homeless and disabled veterans, including increasing access to emergency shelter and improving services offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
